Your key responsibilities will include assisting the Director with department planning, goal setting, and maintaining the effective operations of the pharmacy. You will actively contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical programs aimed at improving patient care, providing leadership in program development, and offering expert consultation. This role demands independence, the ability to manage stress effectively, adaptability to changing workloads and schedules, and the ability to prioritize and make critical decisions.
Required Qualifications

Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited institution (PharmD preferred)

Active California Pharmacist license in good standing

Completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred

Minimum 1 year of supervisory pharmacy experience, including program development

At least 3 years of recent experience as a Pharmacist in an acute care hospital (including ASHP Accredited Residency)

Knowledgeable in managing medication regimens for the facility’s patient populations

Strong decision-making abilities and effective communication skills (verbal and written)

Proficiency with pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Physical Requirements and Equipment Used

Pharmacy computer systems

Case cutter, marking gun, pill counter, and cash register
Hospital Requirements
-
Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months

Immunization records for MMR, Varicella, and Hep B3 series (or declination)

Annual influenza vaccination required between October 1st and April 30th
