Dr. Ouyang and his clinical research team are seeking a motivated Clinical Research Data Specialist I to join the Heart Institute.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage data for assigned research studies, including designing data collection forms and abstracting clinical data.

  • Process and clean clinical data using various software and database systems to ensure data integrity.

  • Generate project reports and maintain large, complex computerized record systems with accuracy and security.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and local regulations, including FDA requirements and Institutional Review Board protocols.

  • Perform data searches and administrative tasks related to study management.

  • Adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and relevant laws.

  • Participate in required training and educational programs.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree required.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

  • Experience with data analysis and coding in R is highly desirable.
