Job Summary
AirStrip is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in serverless-first, event-driven cloud architectures. In this remote role, you will design, build, and maintain cloud platforms supporting healthcare data ingestion and analytics workflows. Your work enables high-fidelity waveform processing and data delivery to analytics algorithms, helping clinicians make faster, more informed decisions. Key Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain serverless cloud systems for data ingestion, storage, indexing, and runtime environments for healthcare analytics.

Develop scalable event-driven pipelines using API gateways, object storage, and message queues.

Implement indexing and metadata systems with serverless functions and NoSQL databases for fast querying and data validation.

Ensure data completeness and feed signal processing pipelines to analytics models.

Manage runtime orchestration for executing data science workloads with serverless functions.

Automate deployments using CI/CD tools like CircleCI or GitHub Actions and support containerized jobs with Docker/Watchtower.

Implement monitoring, alerting, and distributed tracing for high availability and cost-efficient architectures.

Collaborate with data scientists and clinical teams to align infrastructure with analytics requirements.

Maintain documentation, operational playbooks, and compliance practices.
Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

5+ years as a Cloud Engineer, Solutions Architect, or related role.

Proven experience in architecting serverless and event-driven systems.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automating serverless and infrastructure deployments.
Required Skills & Abilities

Hands-on expertise with cloud components: API gateways, serverless functions, object storage, message queues, and NoSQL databases.

Proficiency in Python for serverless development and data processing.

Knowledge of data partitioning, metadata indexing, and lifecycle management in cloud storage.

Familiarity with Docker and container automation tools (e.g., Watchtower).
Preferred Skills & Abilities

Experience with high-volume time-series or waveform data.

Knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7 FHIR, JSON-based clinical data).

Real-time analytics, signal processing, and data completeness validation experience.

Familiarity with HIPAA, HITRUST, or other healthcare compliance standards.

Experience with JavaScript/Node.js for serverless development.

Knowledge of SQL for data querying and analysis.

Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code experience.

Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $115,000 – $140,000, plus bonus potential (remote US-based).
