Position Summary

We are seeking a Cloud Network Engineer (CNE) to design, implement, and optimize AWS networking infrastructure for enterprise clients. In this role, you’ll work directly with clients, architects, and engineers to build high-performing, secure cloud environments while ensuring seamless migrations from on-premises systems to AWS. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Cloud & Migration, this position is fully remote with occasional client travel.

What You’ll Do

As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will:

• Design & Implement AWS Networking Infrastructure

  • Deploy Amazon VPCs, subnets, NACLs, and security groups.

  • Implement AWS Transit Gateway, VPC peering, Direct Connect, and hybrid networking solutions.

  • Configure interconnect technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, BGP, etc.).

  • Document and diagram network architectures across development, pre-production, and production.

  • Use Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for repeatable deployments.

• Optimize Network Operations & Costs

  • Enable and configure VPC flow logs, load balancer logging, and tagging for cost visibility.

  • Configure AWS infrastructure for maximum efficiency.

• Support Client Migrations to AWS

  • Develop and execute migration plans from on-premises to AWS.

  • Advise clients on networking changes to support hybrid environments.

  • Validate and troubleshoot hybrid cloud connectivity.

• Contribute to Team & Project Success

  • Participate in daily stand-ups and technical reviews.

  • Ensure rigorous project governance and documentation.

  • Collaborate transparently and responsively with teammates and clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AWS cloud networking experience.

• 5+ years developing AWS infrastructure solutions.

• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices for networking.

• Proficient with Terraform / CloudFormation.

• 3+ years client-facing project delivery in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• AWS certifications (Networking Specialty, Solutions Architect, Developer Associate, etc.).

• Networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, PCCSE, PCNSE, etc.).

• Ability to work EST schedule and travel up to 25%.

• US Citizenship required.

Compensation & Location

• Remote (US-based) with up to 25% travel.

• Salary Range: $118,000 – $171,000 (final offer based on skills, qualifications, and location).
