What You’ll Do
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll work on the infrastructure that powers everything at ClassDojo. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers to improve systems, tools, and practices while mentoring teammates and shaping our engineering culture.
Key responsibilities include:

Writing, debugging, and optimizing platform code (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go a plus).

Supporting and improving CI/CD pipelines and delivery systems.

Collaborating through pair programming, mob programming, code reviews, and design sessions.

Identifying opportunities to enhance shared systems, tooling, and processes.
-
Contributing to technical design and architecture decisions.

Unblocking teammates and supporting cross-team collaboration.

Driving incremental improvements in code quality, reliability, and performance.

Mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you have:

10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years focused on infrastructure/platform.

A track record of impact in past organizations.

Expertise in DevOps practices (test automation, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, monitoring).

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

An ownership mindset—comfortable with both responsibility and accountability.

Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

A passion for education and the impact of technology on kids’ lives.
