NVIDIA is seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Software Engineer to join the Cloud Native Engineering (NVCNE) team. In this role, you’ll develop backend systems that power AI supercomputing infrastructure on Kubernetes. As a Cloud Platform Software Engineer, you’ll collaborate with architects, frontend engineers, SREs, and designers to deliver scalable, high-quality software supporting NVIDIA’s AI services across the cloud. What You’ll Do as a Cloud Platform Software Engineer

  • Design and develop robust backend software for large-scale cloud deployments.

  • Contribute to multiple source code projects aligned with NVIDIA’s platform requirements.

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and designers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

  • Automate software validation with unit and integration testing.

  • Support CI/CD pipelines from development to production.

  • Provide feedback and collaborate with specialists on distributed systems challenges.

  • Share successes and learnings openly in a no-blame culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of large-scale software development experience.

  • Experience developing and shipping services on Kubernetes.

  • Programming expertise in Golang, Python, or similar languages.

  • Knowledge of modern infrastructure tools and cloud technologies.

  • Strong communication skills, able to convey design and quality strategies clearly.

Ways to Stand Out as a Cloud Platform Software Engineer

  • Experience with Kubernetes Cluster API, Terraform, Tinkerbell, and other infrastructure tooling.

  • Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Ability to refactor software to run efficiently on Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with CSI, CNI, CRI, and CNCF ecosystem tools.

  • Contributions to open-source projects.

Salary & Benefits

  • Level 3 Base Salary: $148,000 – $235,750 USD

  • Level 4 Base Salary: $184,000 – $287,500 USD
