We’re seeking a Commercial Cashier / Starbucks Barista who will provide outstanding customer service, prepare handcrafted beverages, and support day-to-day store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Starbucks Experience by engaging with customers and fellow baristas

  • Anticipate customer needs and provide prompt, personalized service

  • Prepare and serve handcrafted specialty beverages and food items following recipes and standards

  • Complete all point-of-sale transactions (cashless operation: mobile pay, debit/credit only)

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, dining areas, and kitchen

  • Stock, organize, and rotate vendor products

  • Follow UNC HCS policies and health/safety standards

Preferred Experience

  • Prior retail or food service experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous coffee barista experience highly preferred (training provided)

Requirements

  • Education: None required (if other qualifications are met)

  • Experience: 1+ year as a cashier or equivalent education/training/experience

  • Licensure/Certification: None required

  • Skills: Customer service, POS transactions, teamwork, ability to work in a busy setting
