Position Overview

As Commercial Director, you will lead the regional sales strategy for the Appliances, HVAC/R, Plumbing, and Construction vertical. You’ll guide a high-performing team, drive business development, and achieve commercial growth goals. You will also support global strategy execution, customer experience excellence, and team development while overseeing a portfolio of up to $50 million.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a sales team (up to 20 staff) including SAMs, TAMs, ISRs, and TSs

  • Accountable for regional bookings and margin growth

  • Drive team structure, territory design, and performance KPIs

  • Manage major accounts and key industry relationships

  • Develop and execute sales strategies, budgets, and annual goals

  • Deliver consistent results through cross-selling and customer excellence

  • Monitor trade shows, campaigns, and sales-related travel effectiveness

  • Collaborate globally to ensure consistent service and strategic alignment

  • Contribute to regional pricing, marketing, M&A, and investment strategies

  • Provide market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insight

  • Maintain accountability for customer satisfaction, issue resolution, and escalations

  • Participate in industry events, associations, and governmental stakeholder engagements

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in technical or business fields

    • Engineering degree and/or MBA preferred

  • 6+ years in strategic sales leadership (regional or global scope)

  • Demonstrated success managing multimillion-dollar portfolios

  • Experience influencing stakeholders without direct authority

  • Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills

  • Ability to lead in matrix organizations and cross-functional teams

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office; analytical tools and CRM software experience is a plus

  • Proven ability to develop go-to-market strategies, set KPIs, and drive performance

  • Willingness to travel as required
