Responsibilities
Deep Proactive Engagement

Lead collaborations with sellers and stakeholders to achieve revenue targets independently.

Use resources (deal desk, sales support, partners, finance) to drive outcomes.

Align commercial strategies to customer needs, planning with partners to ensure solutions match strategic requirements.

Drive accountability in resolving cross-functional issues and simplifying contracts.
-
Ensure customer/partner support teams deliver value during lifecycle management.
-
Develop strong challenger relationships with customers/partners, structuring value-based deals that grow Microsoft’s share and adoption.

Simplify commercial strategies for customers and partners while leveraging competitive insights.
-
Manage full sales process, crafting and finalizing deals, handling objections, and ensuring deployments are planned effectively.

Identify and capture new business opportunities (upsell, cross-sell, expansion).

Consult with account teams to maximize pipeline conversion and secure growth opportunities.
Mastering Key Skills

Ensure compliance with Microsoft’s commercial solutions policies, local regulations, and ethical sales practices.

Coach others on sales compliance and address potential issues proactively.

Create and manage commercial plans, analyze renewal opportunities, and anticipate risks.

Partner with leaders for complex negotiations, applying structured negotiation strategies.

Assess and mitigate risks related to profitability, channel partners, or legal issues.

Drive accountability for negotiation outcomes and contract growth.
Qualifications
Required (minimum):
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Law, Marketing, Finance, Communications, Education, or related field AND 5+ years sales & negotiation experience, OR
-
7+ years sales & negotiation experience without degree equivalent.
Other Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship required due to export control regulations (verification by passport or approved documentation).

Must meet eligibility requirements to access export-controlled information.
Preferred:
-
Master’s degree AND 6+ years sales & negotiation experience, OR
-
Bachelor’s degree AND 7+ years sales & negotiation experience, OR
-
9+ years equivalent experience.
Compensation & Benefits
-
Base Salary Range: USD $107,600 – $187,500/year
-
Bay Area & NYC Range: USD $145,600 – $205,600/year
