What You Will Do

As a Commercial Sales Account Executive, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory. By leveraging relationships and closing new business, you will drive customer acquisition and ensure long-term retention. Acting as a brand ambassador, you will showcase why Johnson Controls Security is the industry leader in electronic security solutions.

Your role includes securing profitable sales and upgrades for both new and existing customers while maximizing satisfaction and retention through proactive post-installation follow-ups. A deep understanding of our product and service offerings will be essential to your success.

How You Will Do It

  • Follow Johnson Controls Security policies, procedures, and service offerings.
  • Expand market share by selling security products and services to new local commercial clients.
  • Identify and capitalize on additional sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Upsell, amend, and enhance existing customer systems to align with their evolving needs.
  • Renew existing customer agreements to maintain long-term relationships.
  • Generate leads creatively and build strong relationships with both prospects and existing customers.
  • Independently develop call plans, follow-up strategies, and effective time and territory management techniques.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline by consistently following up with potential customers.
  • Stay informed on product lines, industry trends, and customer needs through ongoing training and research.
  • Obtain referrals and collaborate with key industry influencers.
  • Process work orders and complete necessary documentation in compliance with standardized procedures.
  • Conduct post-installation follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and reinforce long-term value.

What We Look For

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior-level executives.
  • Full-time availability.
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed.

Preferred:

  • College degree.
  • At least 2 years of proven success in commercial sales within the security, IT, or technology industry, consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
