Are you a creative communicator with a passion for public service and healthcare? NHS Professionals is looking for an experienced Communications and Marketing Officer to support the delivery of high-impact, strategic content across multiple channels. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you’ll contribute to the success of Aqua—an NHS membership organisation—by crafting compelling digital and offline content that informs, engages, and inspires.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a valued member of the Communications Team, your responsibilities will include:

Communication & Engagement

  • Deliver timely and engaging communications aligned with Aqua’s work plans

  • Lead on internal and external communications using a variety of formats (e.g., newsletters, social media, blogs, and CRM)

  • Support media relations and manage incoming communications enquiries

  • Explore and implement innovative ways to improve digital engagement

Marketing & Content Creation

  • Develop content for web, email campaigns, social media, print materials, and events

  • Collaborate with Aqua staff and members to promote services and initiatives

  • Coordinate and support event marketing activities

  • Use platforms like WordPress, InDesign, Photoshop, and Publisher to create high-quality designs

Team & Admin Support

  • Respond to enquiries from customers, stakeholders, and media

  • Liaise with suppliers and assist with event bookings and materials procurement

  • Support general administrative duties within the team

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:

 Proven experience in communications, preferably in an NHS or healthcare environment
 Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom
 Experience using WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
 Familiarity with CRM systems and digital engagement strategies
 Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
 Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
