Project Accountant
A well-established billion-dollar company is seeking a Project Accountant to join its finance team. This stable organization offers excellent benefits and growth opportunities for a professional with at least three years of project accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight – Partner with the Controller to monitor and analyze project performance, including variance analysis, earned value, cash flow, and profitability.
- Project Finance Evaluation – Independently assess project financials and provide strategic recommendations to Project Managers for improved financial outcomes.
- Sub-Consultant Management – Review sub-consultant contracts, establish and maintain purchase orders, and process invoices.
- Risk Assessment – Identify potential project risks and collaborate with Project Managers to implement solutions while evaluating financial impacts.
- Collaboration & Influence – Engage with project teams, clients, and sub-consultants to ensure strong project financial health through critical thinking and qualitative input.
- Financial Reporting – Provide the Controller with project updates on a monthly basis (or more frequently as needed), offering valuable insights into financial performance.
- Issue Resolution – Track, analyze, and resolve various project and accounting issues as they arise.
- Project Meetings & Close-Outs – Participate in project meetings and oversee the completion of project close-out processes.
