About the Role

Hims & Hers Health, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Compounding Pharmacist to oversee compounding operations in our laboratory. This position is responsible for supervising pharmacy technicians, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in the preparation of compounded medications. You’ll also play a key role in process development, SOP creation, and staff training.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily activities of pharmacy technicians and support personnel in the compounding lab

  • Perform and document compounding procedures, quality checks, and final product verifications

  • Ensure accuracy in formulas, labeling, and beyond-use dating

  • Train and assess compounding staff performance

  • Manage calibration and maintenance of equipment and environmental monitoring

  • Maintain compliance with USP 795, 800, and all applicable FDA, BOP, and internal safety regulations

  • Conduct pharmacist duties such as patient counseling, medication utilization reviews, and error documentation

  • Participate in audits, continuous quality improvement projects, and regulatory initiatives

  • Coordinate with the Pharmacist-in-Charge on operational, personnel, and compliance matters

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and FDA-compliant lab environment

  • Contribute to operational workflows, inventory management, and additional pharmacy duties as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree

  • Active and unrestricted Arizona Pharmacist License

  • Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 3 years in a compounding environment

  • Proficient in non-sterile compounding techniques

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, especially USP <795>, <800>, and related guidelines

  • Strong mathematical skills and technical ability with compounding equipment

  • Willingness and ability to wear PPE, including respirators (must pass fit testing)

  • Physical ability to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long shifts

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment

  • Proficiency in English and Windows-based systems

  • Mail-order or telepharmacy experience is a plus

  • Multi-state licensure is a plus

Conditions of Employment

  • Must safely handle Hazardous Drugs (HD) and wear appropriate PPE during compounding

  • Must obtain medical clearance for wearing respirators (e.g., N95 or PAPR)

  • Physically demanding role: standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), squatting, and bending for extended periods

  • Must acknowledge and accept potential risks associated with handling reproductive or carcinogenic compounds
