Role Description

This full-time, on-site position is for a Compounding Pharmacist based in Holiday, FL. The Compounding Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately preparing both sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in strict accordance with physicians’ prescriptions and established compounding protocols. This role involves providing expert pharmaceutical care and consultation services to patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that medication therapies are safe, effective, and personalized to meet individual patient needs.

The pharmacist will ensure full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations governing compounding pharmacy practice and medication safety standards. In addition, the pharmacist will oversee inventory management to maintain adequate supplies of raw materials and compounded medications while minimizing waste and cost. Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals will be essential to optimize patient outcomes through customized medication regimens.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in both sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques, including aseptic procedures and safe handling of compounded medications.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences, including drug formulation, pharmacokinetics, dosage forms, and stability considerations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective consultation with patients and prescribers to address medication-related questions, therapy adjustments, and counseling needs.

  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accurate preparation, labeling, and dispensing of compounded prescriptions while adhering to quality assurance and control protocols.

  • Proven expertise in compounding specialized medications, particularly in areas such as pain management, hormone replacement therapy (including bioidentical hormones), dermatological preparations, and other specialty treatments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid pharmacist license issued by the Florida Board of Pharmacy, demonstrating legal authorization to practice pharmacy within the state.
