Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Engineer to support the Colas Operations Network. This role focuses on optimizing construction practices across our multiple brands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction operations, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to implement best practices through training and operational oversight. The position requires approximately 25% travel across the U.S. to ensure consistency, collaboration, and project excellence.


Main Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate construction operations across multiple brands, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.

  • Identify, evaluate, and implement best construction practices across diverse regions.

  • Provide administrative and organizational support for Operations Network projects.

  • Develop and deliver technical documentation and training materials for internal teams.

  • Conduct engaging presentations and training sessions for medium-to-large groups.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize processes and improve efficiency.

  • Travel to project sites (~25%) to provide support, conduct assessments, and promote knowledge sharing.

  • Track project performance metrics and recommend improvements.

  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Act as a liaison between field teams, leadership, and stakeholders.

  • Work independently in remote settings with high accountability.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentations.


Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • 3–5 years of experience in construction project management or operations.

  • Proven ability to support multi-site projects and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% nationwide.

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
