The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager to ensure that our projects run smoothly, on-time and budget. Working closely with our partners and Site teams to assist in the planning, direction and management of all activities related to the successful execution of major projects. This position will be based next to our Head Office on our City Centre 4 project and will be working on our large Tenant Improvement projects (candidates should remain flexible to assist on projects at different locations as needed)

Responsibilities

  • Assists the PM with the project from Project launch, full life-cycle and close-out
  • May assist in the preparation and ongoing management of the Project budget
  • Assists with schedule oversight, reporting and administration
  • Assists administration and completion of contract agreements
  • Will work with the PM to evaluate, assess and mitigate all potential project delivery risks
  • Assists with developing and maintaining project reporting, updates etc including maintaining meeting minutes, Agendas and follow up with stakeholders
  • Responsible for managing project documentation, ensures all documentation is up to date, filed correctly and distributed to appropriate parties
  • Responsible for administering Quality Reviews, reporting quality issues and following up with Project Manager on any issues/ risks
  • Review and approvals of subcontractor progress claims and vendor invoicing
  • In conjunction with the Safety Manager and Site Safety teams is responsible for overseeing Safety and Environmental requirements for the site and driving a Safety first culture
  • Responsible for coaching, and developing junior staff on projects with the goal to Elevate each team member to excel
  • In-line with our core value BOLD will endeavor to take on additional assignments and responsibilities in order to meet the objectives of the project, department and Company

Job Qualifications

  • Ideally would have 2-4 years experience working on residential & commercial projects which feature concrete and steel
  • Experience of the full life cycle of minimum 2 projects and/or working on Institutional projects would be beneficial
  • Experience managing tenant improvements of larger scale and volume may be substituted for the larger-scale projects
  • Engineering degree or BCIT Construction Management/ Project Management Certification or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
