As a Construction Project Manager II, you will oversee complex capital projects—ensuring scope, schedule, and budget goals are achieved. Based at our Home Office in Austin, TX, this role is central to building a standardized national framework for healthcare construction management. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to drive projects forward with minimal supervision while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution

Develop, manage, and execute detailed project plans.

Communicate scope changes and project implications to stakeholders.

Oversee the full construction lifecycle: budgets, bids, contracts, scheduling, and quality control.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, hospital staff, and contractors to meet customer needs, safety codes, ADA standards, and The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements.

Lead problem-solving efforts for complex construction challenges.

Ensure safety protocols are followed across all projects.
Project Control

Manage scope creep through change orders or phased delivery.

Monitor deliverables to ensure traceability, quality, and acceptance.

Evaluate risks, create mitigation plans, and adjust timelines or budgets as needed.

Ensure all projects meet customer expectations for budget, quality, and delivery.
Project Communication

Provide regular progress updates, risk reports, and project metrics to leadership and clients.

Create and maintain clear documentation and ad hoc reports.

Build and sustain strong relationships with stakeholders through proactive communication.

Track key performance metrics: budget burn, percent complete, earned value, and timeline status.
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, engineering, construction science, healthcare, or related field.

Graduate degree preferred.

OR 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
Licenses/Certifications (Preferred)

Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) or Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC).

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
Experience
-
5+ years of experience managing complex projects, including construction, scope, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.

3+ years of experience in healthcare facilities management preferred.
