Frimley Park Hospital invites applications for a Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join our dedicated team of six consultants. This is an exciting role for a Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Endocrinology passionate about advancing specialist services and developing personal interests. Our rapidly expanding technology services, leading DAFNE course, and regional diabetic foot hub offer excellent opportunities for clinical growth. We also run specialist MDTs in Adrenal, Parathyroid, and Complex Thyroid care, working closely with the Kings College Hospital London Pituitary MDT. Interest in antenatal care, technology, or obesity is welcome but not essential.

Frimley Park Hospital provides hyperacute cardiac, stroke, and on-site renal services, offering a varied and rewarding case mix. The successful applicant will contribute to inpatient care on a 1 in 3-month rotational basis and participate in the acute medical on-call rota (currently 1 in 8 weekends and 1 in 24 weekdays).
Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Endocrinology — Key Duties

Lead inpatient care for endocrine and general medical patients on a rotational basis

Conduct outpatient clinics both on and off-site

Participate in the acute general medical on-call rota

Support specialist endocrine services including diabetic foot, antenatal, transition, and technology clinics

Share administrative duties within the Endocrinology department

Engage in clinical governance, audits, and service development
Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Endocrinology — Person Specification
Essential Criteria:

MRCP (UK)
-
CCT in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Medicine (or within 6 months of completion)

Experience in outpatient diabetes and endocrinology care

Strong written, verbal, and clinical leadership skills
Desirable Criteria:

MD/PhD
-
At least 1-year of specialist unit training

Evidence of research or publications

Experience in antenatal, technology, or obesity management
