Position Summary
The Controller reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and collaborates with the hospital’s Finance Department to ensure accurate accounting and financial management. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, audits, and process improvement initiatives to support hospital operations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain all accounting functions of the hospital.

Prepare financial reports and provide findings/recommendations to management.

Design and coordinate a wide variety of accounting and statistical reports.

Oversee financial reporting including budget, credit, insurance, tax filings, and compliance reports.

Prepare accurate operational and financial data for management decision-making.

Perform monthly reconciliations and financial closings.

Coordinate annual audit preparation and completion.

Assist CFO with balance sheet management and discrepancy resolution.

Support process improvement initiatives.

Participate in quality, safety, and infection control improvement projects.

Complete annual mandatory Relias education.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

5–10 years of experience in a similar role, hospital setting preferred.
