Job Summary
As a Finance Specialist, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing, validation, and reconciliation of freight and administrative invoices, maintaining alignment with internal controls and corporate financial policies. You’ll support the month-end close, journal entries, reclassifications, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure transparency, compliance, and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities

Validate and process weekly freight invoices using the E-Pay system.

Reclassify freight and administrative costs from prepaid accounts to appropriate expense accounts in SAP.

Manage and allocate costs for monthly fleet invoices using Microsoft Access; post reclassifications.

Prepare and post journal entries for freight, admin fees, and other month-end adjustments.

Compile, analyze, and distribute monthly reports including freight consolidation, reclassifications, and reconciliations.

Support month-end close by coordinating internal reclassifications and generating final financial reports.

Respond to audit and internal inquiries with supporting documentation.

Maintain accurate tracking logs, records, and ensure compliance with financial protocols.

Travel requirement: up to 10%.
Qualifications
Required:
-
High school diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training)

Minimum 4 years of business administration experience or a Bachelor’s degree
Preferred:
-
Experience with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and/or Access

Prior experience in financial reporting or accounting within a large corporate environment

Knowledge of invoice reconciliation, journal entries, and cost allocations

Work Environment
Remote Role: This position is classified as remote. The selected candidate will work primarily from home and must reside in Puerto Rico. Commuting to an assigned site is not required.
