About the Role
StudioBinder is looking for a skilled Content Copywriter to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll create engaging, informative, and high-quality content for filmmakers, producers, and video professionals. Responsibilities include writing and editing blog articles, developing creative video treatments for our YouTube channel, drafting compelling newsletters, and managing content updates in WordPress. This is a remote position with opportunities for full-time placement in our Santa Monica office for select candidates.
Responsibilities

Write, edit, and optimize blog articles tailored to filmmakers and creatives

Develop and refine video treatments for StudioBinder’s YouTube channel

Draft compelling and engaging newsletter content

Maintain and update WordPress content with accuracy and relevance

Collaborate with editors, designers, and the editorial team on content strategy

Research video production trends and industry insights to guide content creation

Participate in team stand-ups, content planning, and reviews to maintain quality
Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of professional copywriting experience

Strong passion for copywriting, filmmaking, and storytelling

Proficiency in Google Drive (Docs, Sheets)

Excellent grammar, style, and tone

Familiarity with WordPress CMS

Knowledge of filmmaking trends and video production techniques

Creative mindset with attention to detail and deadlines

Awareness of industry channels like Every Frame a Painting, Nerdwriter, John August, ScriptNotes

For full-time roles, residence near Santa Monica is preferred
