Key Responsibilities
Program and Course Development:

Teach assigned graduate counseling courses

Participate in program oversight and curriculum improvement using student assessment data

Ensure alignment of courses with counseling industry standards, ethics, and research
-
Assist with CACREP accreditation processes, including self-study and site visits
Leadership and Academic Quality:
-
Promote and maintain academic quality and compliance with internal and external policies
-
Support student workforce readiness through assessment, training, and remediation
-
Explore innovative strategies to improve program curricula and student outcomes
-
Monitor adherence to OHE, NECHE, and CACREP standards
Teaching and Student Support:
-
Timely grading of assignments and response to student inquiries
-
Apply a student-focused approach to instruction and mentorship
-
Provide high-quality learning experiences with creative and engaging teaching methods
-
Collaborate with faculty and departments to innovate graduate counseling programs
Qualifications & Skills
-
Doctoral degree in counselor education (CACREP-accredited preferred)
-
Professional counselor license or eligibility
-
Strong knowledge of CACREP standards and counseling ethics
-
Online teaching experience preferred
-
Experience in curriculum/course development at the graduate level

Excellent written, verbal, and technology skills (Blackboard or LMS)

Ability to work independently and collaboratively
-
Commitment to scholarly activity, research, and professional service
-
Minimum 2 years of leadership or progressively responsible higher education experience
