Role Overview
The Corporate Manager of Loss Prevention Operations (CMLPO) will develop, implement, and oversee enterprise-wide loss prevention initiatives to safeguard company assets, reduce internal and external theft, enhance facility security, and promote employee and guest safety. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, working closely with field teams, corporate departments, and regional loss prevention personnel.
Key Responsibilities

Lead corporate and field loss prevention programs, managing reporting tools, workflows, and operational processes.

Develop and maintain initiatives to reduce shrink, mitigate risk, and improve safety standards.

Oversee installation and management of physical security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and contracted security personnel.

Track budgets, capital expenditures, and cost-containment measures; provide regular updates to leadership.

Partner with departments such as HR, IT, Finance, Operations, and Sales Audit to ensure alignment and compliance.

Analyze KPIs, provide actionable insights, and address operational gaps with field and corporate teams.

Maintain accurate records of investigations, vendor relationships, and departmental activities.

Manage restitution efforts via external vendors to ensure timely and accurate collections.

Stay updated on industry trends, technological advances, and legal developments in loss prevention.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise Loss Prevention Department Admins and Business Analysts.

Dotted-line supervision of Loss Prevention Managers and Business Analysts as necessary.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience/certifications in loss prevention or related fields.

5–10 years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or operations in multi-unit retail, hospitality, or service industries.

Proficiency with CCTV, alarm systems, POS platforms, and exception reporting tools.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting tools.

Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

High integrity, ethical conduct, and commitment to confidentiality.

Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments.

Financial acumen and understanding of P&L impacts related to loss prevention.

Customer service-oriented with proactive problem-solving abilities.
