Job Summary
The HR & Professional Development Support Specialist plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for all new hires. This position supports HR and Professional Development strategies to meet organizational goals while fostering a welcoming environment for employees. The role involves coordinating orientation programs, maintaining compliance records, and ensuring effective communication between HR, management, and new employees.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage New Employee Orientation (NEO) schedules, invites, and facilitator assignments.

Conduct weekly check-ins with new hires to monitor onboarding progress, address concerns, and ensure completion of required training and documentation.

Maintain and update compliance reports, surveys, and competency checklists to ensure all onboarding elements are completed.

Serve as a liaison between HR, department leaders, and employees to resolve onboarding issues and promote a positive experience.

Organize and support corporate events including benefits enrollment, recognition events, and company meetings.

Conduct audits of HR files to verify completion of onboarding documentation.

Facilitate in-service training sessions and assist with the creation of the annual NEO calendar.

Coordinate travel arrangements for new hires and assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

Experience: Minimum 3 years in HR, training, or customer service.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Demonstrated empathy and understanding of effective training methodologies.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Healthcare experience is preferred.

Willingness to travel up to 40% to care centers.
