Position Summary
The Corporate Payroll Specialist II ensures the accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll for a diverse workforce. This role supports payroll operations, maintains records, ensures compliance, and contributes to continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Process accurate, timely payroll for multi-state, exempt, and non-exempt employees across multiple FEINs

Maintain and verify payroll records, including new hires, rate changes, and timekeeping data

Audit payroll entries for compliance with federal, state, local, and union requirements

Enter and reconcile time data; process check adjustments and shortages
-
Verify and process vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay
-
Ensure compliance with overtime, prevailing wage, and union rate requirements

Process unemployment claims, certified payrolls, garnishments, levies, and employment verifications
-
Generate payroll-related reports (e.g., CIP reports, union reporting)

Partner with HR and leadership to ensure smooth payroll operations

Contribute to payroll process improvements and efficiency initiatives
Requirements
-
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus
-
5+ years payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing
-
Knowledge of union payrolls, garnishments, child support, and certified payrolls (Davis-Bacon Act)

Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Experience with Paycor or Vista preferred

FPC or CPP certification preferred
