Position Overview
As the Corporate Risk Intelligence (CRI) Lead, you will drive the success of a high-performing analytics team while partnering closely with key business units to advance risk intelligence initiatives. Your role will involve leading a team of analysts, overseeing data analysis and reporting activities, managing critical projects, and enhancing business decisions through actionable insights. You’ll also play a central role in ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting strategic priorities, and cultivating a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and motivate a team of analysts by assigning responsibilities aligned with individual strengths, conducting regular performance reviews, and delivering constructive feedback.

Identify team development needs and implement training plans to support professional growth.

Foster a collaborative team culture that emphasizes continuous learning, mentorship, and innovation.

Partner with business unit leaders to align project priorities and ensure timely delivery of results.

Stay current on industry best practices by attending professional workshops, reviewing literature, and networking to inform data management, reporting, tuning, and compliance strategies.
Project Management

Define project scope, develop detailed timelines, identify deliverables, and monitor progress.

Mitigate project risks and ensure adherence to deadlines and budgets.
Data Analytics & Reporting

Guide the collection, cleansing, and analysis of complex datasets using advanced tools and methodologies.

Oversee the development of analytical outputs, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and actionable insight.

Deliver high-quality reports and presentations that inform senior leadership decision-making.

Support regulatory and audit responses through robust data analysis and reporting oversight.
Strategic Business Partnership

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into data-driven strategies.

Identify and implement opportunities to optimize business processes through analytics.

Lead troubleshooting efforts with CRI and technology teams to resolve or anticipate production issues.

Review proposed solutions, offering expert feedback and alternative approaches where appropriate.

Act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders, delivering insights that shape business direction.
Quality Assurance

Establish and maintain high standards for data analysis and reporting quality.

Review team outputs for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with analytical best practices.
Education & Experience
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field

4–7 years of progressive experience in applications, data analytics, or risk within financial services or BSA/risk functions
-
Familiarity with Associated Bank systems and applications
Preferred

7–10 years of advanced analytics and application experience within financial services or risk management

In-depth knowledge of Associated Bank platforms
Certifications (Preferred but not Required)

CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist)

PMP (Project Management Professional)

Other certifications in Fraud, Risk, IT, or Data Analysis
