Maximus is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to support credentialing and recredentialing processes for independent contractors. This role involves verifying credentials, maintaining accurate provider records, and ensuring compliance with health plan requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process credentialing and recredentialing applications.

  • Maintain knowledge of health plan requirements and delegated health plans.

  • Complete and monitor provider applications, following up as needed.

  • Set up and maintain provider information in credentialing databases.

  • Collect and verify provider credentials from primary sources.

  • Enter and maintain data across systems for credentialing.

  • Track logs, lists, and documentation related to credentialing.

  • Provide regular status reports on pending and cleared staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required; 0–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience.

  • At least 2 years of credentialing experience (e.g., license verification, background checks, references).

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.

  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

  • Strong data entry and telephone skills preferred.

  • Experience in claims review, claims auditing, or customer service/call center a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Smartsheet, COUPA, or recruiting.

  • Experience working with independent contractors or staffing agencies.

Home Office Requirements:

  • Company-issued computer equipment provided.

  • Reliable high-speed internet: minimum 20 Mbps download (50 Mbps if shared) and 5 Mbps upload.
