As a Credentialing Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in managing the onboarding and verification of clinicians across our growing network. You’ll also contribute to developing our internal credentialing processes and help shape the future of our operations team.
Responsibilities of a Credentialing Specialist
In this Credentialing Specialist position, your key responsibilities will include:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date data for all providers.

Completing provider credentialing applications and follow-ups.

Managing and verifying documentation such as licenses, DEA certificates, and malpractice coverage.

Performing primary source verifications through the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB).

Conducting exclusion screenings using SAM, OIG, OFAC, CMS Opt-out, and state agencies.

Ensuring compliance with regulations, laws, and internal policies.

Supporting payer roster management, submissions, and audits.

Collaborating with internal teams to streamline credentialing operations.

Maintaining confidentiality of all provider and credentialing-related information.
Qualifications for the Credentialing Specialist Job
To excel in this Credentialing Specialist role, you should have:

A Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

At least 2 years of credentialing or enrollment experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical practice or healthcare business office.

High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Strong ability to work independently and maintain focus.

Proficiency in web-based systems and the ability to learn new tools quickly.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Prior remote work experience (preferred).
