Credentialing Specialist I Responsibilities
As a Credentialing Specialist I, you will review provider contracts, credential physicians, and enter provider information accurately into tracking systems. You will verify licenses and insurance data, respond to provider inquiries, and assist traveling providers in obtaining state medical licenses. You will also help coordinate credentialing packages for providers on military installations and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for IT systems.
Supporting Provider Networks and Compliance
You will ensure all provider information is current, complete, and compliant with regulations. Your work helps maintain the integrity of our provider network, supporting both internal teams and external partners in delivering timely, high-quality healthcare services.
Qualifications and Skills Required

High School diploma or GED

0–1 year of relevant experience

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to research, verify, and maintain accurate provider information

Comfortable using credentialing software and databases

CPCS certification is a plus
Preferred Experience

Experience with credentialing and privileging software

Understanding of military provider credentialing processes
