At CHOICE, we are seeking a Dental Credentialing Specialist to join our remote team and ensure providers and facilities are properly credentialed with insurance payors. As a Dental Credentialing Specialist, you will manage the full lifecycle of credentialing and revalidation, helping our pediatric dental network maintain compliance and deliver high-quality care. This role is ideal for organized, detail-oriented professionals who enjoy working collaboratively while making a real impact in children’s healthcare.
Dental Credentialing Specialist Responsibilities
As a Dental Credentialing Specialist, you will enroll and revalidate doctors and facilities with insurance payors, process licensing and certification applications, and maintain accurate credentialing records. You will review insurance correspondence, update credentialing spreadsheets, and verify doctors’ employment status to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Compliance and Quality Management
The Dental Credentialing Specialist will maintain adherence to corporate and departmental policies, quality improvement programs, and productivity expectations. You will report trends or issues to management and collaborate to develop solutions, ensuring smooth credentialing processes for doctors and facilities.
Collaboration and Communication
Serve as a professional liaison for doctors, payors, and internal teams. Respond to calls, emails, and inquiries promptly, providing accurate information and resolving credentialing concerns with a positive, professional attitude.
Technology and Reporting
Maintain detailed records using credentialing spreadsheets, practice management systems, and internet-based insurance tools. Track applications, licenses, and certifications to ensure timely updates and renewals.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required

1–2 years of business office experience in a healthcare environment

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and credentialing-related technology solutions

Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with strong follow-through

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Prior experience in credentialing and contracting preferred
