Position Overview
The Credentialing Specialist will report to OneOncology’s Credentialing Manager and will be responsible for managing all aspects of the credentialing and privileging process for physicians and allied health professionals. This includes application processing, information verification, research, and maintaining compliance with medical staff procedures.
This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to ensure timely credentialing support and the secure maintenance of confidential files.
Responsibilities

Perform credentialing and re-credentialing of physicians and allied health professionals.

Complete, submit, and track credentialing applications with managed care organizations and hospitals.

Validate and apply for hospital privileges.

Obtain and manage malpractice insurance documentation.

Notify staff of completed credentialing for scheduling and billing.

Maintain and update CAQH online applications quarterly.

Manage provider files and credentialing databases.

Track and update all clinical licenses for nursing, pharmacy, and lab personnel.

Monitor continuing education credits and assist with audit documentation.

Process terminations by notifying all relevant entities within 30 days of a provider’s departure.

Qualifications

High school diploma and 2+ years of related experience required.

Must be comfortable working remotely with travel flexibility as needed.
