As the Credit Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing credit policies in accordance with corporate and divisional guidelines, while ensuring full compliance with federal anti-trust laws and regulations.
  • Conducting credit assessments, analyzing customer financial statements, and determining appropriate credit terms and limits within established authority levels.
  • Reviewing and approving letters of credit and bank guarantees for acceptability.
  • Implementing and managing an effective receivables follow-up process to ensure timely collection of overdue accounts.
  • Preparing and presenting monthly and quarterly reports on bad debt reserves and delinquent accounts.
  • Performing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal control testing, while maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Overseeing forced collections and initiating legal actions when necessary.
  • Monitoring country-specific risks, export regulations, and financial compliance, while staying informed through ongoing professional development.
  • Managing and preparing export and performance-related letters of credit and performance bonds as needed.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Certified International Credit Professional (CICP) designation; ICCE or RGCP certifications are a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience managing credit, collections, and accounts receivable, including exposure to both domestic and international markets.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing shared services environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong partnership, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions, including sales and customer service.
  • Expertise in key regulatory and financial practices, including:
    • U.S. Export Administration Regulations as they relate to credit management
    • Bankruptcy rules and legal frameworks
    • Supply chain finance programs
    • Credit insurance programs
    • Bank letters of credit and bonding insurance programs
