Role Overview:
As a Crisis Recovery Worker at Bay Tree House, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises. This 24-hour staffed facility provides hospital prevention, step-down, respite, and crisis point support to residents aged 16 and above.
Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with clinical teams to assess and make referral decisions.

Support individuals dealing with various mental health issues, including low mood, anxiety, depression, voice hearing, delusions, and suicidal thoughts.

Assist residents in developing coping strategies for crisis situations.

Participate in group work programmes addressing mental health, substance abuse, poverty, and related challenges.

Work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a compassionate and supportive approach.

Contribute to a weekly rota system, including on-call duties.
Qualifications and Skills:

No prior experience needed – full training provided.

Empathy, compassion, and a strong desire to support others.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Lived experience with mental health issues or understanding of mental health is a plus.
