Job Overview

The CRM Personalization Specialist plays a key role in Macy’s in-house CRM team, focusing on customer retention marketing. This role is both strategic and hands-on, supporting initiatives across email, app messaging, and SMS channels to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with the CRM Senior Manager to plan and execute CRM campaigns that drive performance

  • Collaborate with marketing, creative, and technology teams to enhance CRM processes and innovation

  • Execute personalization strategies across email, SMS, and app channels

  • Translate complex CRM concepts into clear communication for non-CRM stakeholders

  • Build cross-team relationships and manage workflows effectively

  • Measure performance and provide data-driven insights to optimize retention campaigns

  • Support the growth of long-term customer relationships through personalization strategies

Skills You Will Need

  • CRM & Retention Marketing: 3+ years of hands-on CRM experience (email, SMS, app messaging)

  • Tools & Platforms: Familiarity with platforms such as Oracle Responsys, Movable Ink, or Wunderkind

  • Data Analysis: Strong analytical and Excel skills to measure impact and optimize campaigns

  • Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and technology teams

  • Communication: Strong presentation and communication skills, able to simplify technical concepts

  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple initiatives, prioritize tasks, and pivot strategies

  • Problem-Solving: Adaptable mindset to adjust CRM strategies based on performance insights

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, business, or related field

  • 3+ years in CRM, customer retention, or digital marketing (in-house or agency)

  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills

  • Comfortable working a flexible schedule based on business needs
