Job Description

We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Customer Advisor to join our team at B&Q Cannock. As a Customer Advisor, you’ll help customers find everything they need to improve their homes and make life better. From offering expert advice to assisting with home improvement projects, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service. This is a 12-week fixed-term, full-time role offering 27.5 hours per week, with shifts between 7:00am and 9:00pm, Monday to Sunday.

 Key Responsibilities

Customer Advisor Main Duties

As a Customer Advisor, your role will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service by offering helpful advice and product guidance

  • Getting to know customers and their home improvement projects

  • Supporting with sales, stock management, and creating appealing product displays

  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming store environment

  • Learning specialist skills such as paint-mixing and timber-cutting

  • Using store technology and systems confidently to assist customers

 Required Skills & Experience

  • Friendly, approachable, and eager to help customers

  • A genuine interest in home improvement and a willingness to learn new skills

  • Comfortable using technology and flexible with working patterns, including weekends and evenings

  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills
