Job Overview
Vue is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our Manchester Quayside cinema team for a temporary summer contract. As a Customer Assistant, you’ll be the face of Vue, providing an outstanding big screen experience. No prior experience is needed—just energy, reliability, and a passion for film and customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers throughout their cinema journey, ensuring a positive experience

Operate tills efficiently, manage queues, and process ticket and retail sales

Provide up-to-date film, pricing, and screening information

Promote food, drink, and combo offers to enhance the customer experience

Maintain cleanliness across all cinema areas (screens, washrooms, foyers, counters, etc.)

Ensure safety for staff and customers by reporting suspicious behaviour or disruptions

Support other team members and contribute to a collaborative, welcoming work environment

Stay informed about new content, VIP seating, accessibility options, and over-18 screenings

Confidently operate cinema technology such as ticket scanners and tills
What We’re Looking For

No previous retail or cinema experience required—training is provided

Positive attitude, a strong team ethic, and the ability to multitask under pressure

Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills

Confidence using basic tech (ticketing systems, till points)

Passion for film, entertainment, and delivering exceptional customer service

Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
