The Role:
Is going the extra mile ‘your thing’? We are looking for motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Customer Service Assistants to support passengers across Northern’s network of train stations.
In this role, you’ll be the face of our stations—providing assistance, sharing information, supporting customers through disruption, and ensuring our stations are clean, safe, and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities:
Your day-to-day duties will include:

Providing helpful and courteous customer support

Sharing accurate information on routes, tickets, and services

Displaying up-to-date promotional materials and travel information
-
Monitoring station cleanliness and safety

Assisting with station evacuations, security, and emergency procedures

Supporting passenger assistance operations

Coordinating with bus services during service disruptions

Assisting with general station cleaning and maintenance
About You:

Quick learners with good time management skills

Comfortable taking direction and working within rules and procedures

Willing to undertake additional training
Desirable:

Previous experience in a customer service or transportation-related role

Familiarity with safety procedures in public transport environments
