Key Responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative

Resolve technical issues for customers via live chat and email using knowledge base tools and templates.

Maintain ownership of customer inquiries from initial contact through resolution.

Ensure all issues are resolved within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate support teams promptly.

Collaborate with colleagues across customer support and other teams to enhance customer experience.

Document support tickets accurately and maintain compliance with company and government policies.

Perform additional tasks as assigned to support program goals.
Qualifications for Customer Service Representative

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

U.S. Citizenship required, with ability to obtain and maintain USPS Public Trust clearance.

Experience in technical support or customer service roles.

Ability to type at least 45 WPM with strong attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with Windows-based software, Microsoft Office, and CRM tools preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Flexible to work weekends and/or rotating schedules as needed.
Shift & Location Information

1st Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some weekends required)

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (some weekends required)

Schedule variations include Sunday–Thursday, Tuesday–Saturday, or Monday–Friday.

Remote role; candidates must reside within 50 miles of a Peraton facility in eligible states.
Compensation & Benefits

Target salary range: $30,000 – $48,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Potential eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus.
