About the Role
The City of San Bernardino, through San Bernardino Temporary Staffing (SBTS), is hiring a Customer Service Representative to support the Office of the City Clerk. This position provides essential front-line service to the community, assisting with passport applications, public records, notarizations, and official city documents.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in municipal government while serving residents with professionalism, accuracy, and care.
Responsibilities

Greet and assist residents with passport applications and inquiries

Process official city documents and notarize records

Respond to public inquiries by phone, email, and in person

Maintain accuracy in recordkeeping, filing, and data entry

Support general office operations including mail handling, scheduling, and claims processing
Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Licenses: Valid State driver’s license required; ability to obtain Passport Agent and Notary certifications if needed

Preferred: Experience in government, public sector, or City Clerk’s Office
