Robert Kukla Spedition UK Ltd, a leading international freight forwarding agent specializing in the logistics of Beers, Wines, and Spirits, is seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk to join our Customs Clearance team in Folkestone. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with customs regulations and the efficient processing of all freight requiring customs clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and liaise with Customs Authorities on behalf of Robert Kukla Spedition UK Ltd.
  • Administer all freight requiring customs clearance, ensuring compliance with HMRC formalities and procedures, including bonded stock.
  • Accurately input Customs Declarations via CNS, Destin8, GVMS, and CDS.
  • Manage and maintain records of excise-controlled goods and bonded stock.
  • Process Import and Export declarations and ensure compliance with incoterms.
  • Calculate Duty & VAT accurately, understanding the implications of each.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and customs authorities.
  • Resolve any customs-related issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay updated with changes in customs regulations and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Customs Clearance.
  • Proficiency in customs systems such as CNS, Destin8, and GVMS.
  • Strong understanding of Home Use, CFSP, Warehousing, Bonds, T1’s, and NCTS.
  • Experience with CDS Import & Export Declarations.
  • Knowledge of excise-controlled goods.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to adapt to new software quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, Day shift.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
