The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking a Cyber and Information Systems Security Analyst (ISSO) to support highly classified networks and contribute to national security systems. You’ll collaborate with security managers, program managers, system administrators, and security representatives to develop secure IT solutions. This role involves creating security documentation (SSP, POA&M, RAR, SCTM, CONOPs), refining program requirements, conducting security audits, analyzing reports for suspicious activity, and participating in configuration management.
You will:
- Develop secure IT solutions for classified environments in collaboration with various teams.
- Contribute to security documentation such as SSP, POA&M, and Risk Assessments.
- Help translate program requirements into effective system implementations.
- Conduct security audits and analyze reports for anomalies, recommending actions.
- Participate in configuration management by assessing the security impact of changes.
You meet our minimum qualifications if you:
- Have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, IT, or a related cybersecurity field.
- Have experience working with government sponsors on inspections and assessments.
- Possess strong knowledge of NISPOM, JSIG, ICDs, RMF, and other relevant policies.
- Are skilled in creating ATO packages using tools like XACTA, eMASS, or similar.
- Have at least 2 years of experience solving IT problems in a classified facility.
- Have a solid understanding of computer systems, hardware, software, and security procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Hold a current DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
- Possess an active TS security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI and CI Polygraph (U.S. citizenship required).

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $350,000 annually, and the final compensation will depend on various factors. APL provides a comprehensive benefits package.
