About the Job: Security Operations Analyst
Join HUMAN, a leading cybersecurity company born from a Brooklyn bookstore, in our mission to protect the internet from bad bots and web threats. As a Security Operations Analyst on our Customer Operations team, you’ll be on the front lines, working directly with customers to analyze their traffic and eliminate malicious bot activity. You’ll use tools like ElasticSearch and BigQuery (SQL) to identify threats and false positives, provide real-time technical support, and deliver insightful incident reports. This role involves collaborating with global customers and our R&D and Research teams to enhance our detection and mitigation capabilities. You’ll also have the opportunity to design and implement internal projects and automation, and will be part of a team requiring shift work, including some nights and weekends.
Schedule Requirements: This New York, NY-based role requires 6 hours of on-screen engagement three days a week, one night shift per week, and two weekend shifts per month, with remaining hours being flexible.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze customer traffic using ElasticSearch and BigQuery (SQL) to detect threats and false positives.
- Provide real-time Tier 2 technical support to customers.
- Create insightful incident reports for customers.
- Communicate with global customers, providing timely responses and resolutions.
- Collaborate with R&D and Research teams to improve threat detection and mitigation.
- Design and implement internal projects and automation.
- Work scheduled shifts, including weekends.
Who you are:
- An effective communicator with excellent written skills for customer interactions.
- Possess an analytical and data-driven mindset.
- Passionate about data, security, and customer service.
- Have 1+ year of hands-on experience analyzing large and complex datasets.
- Knowledgeable in web architecture and protocols (CDN, HTML, DOM, JS, HTTP/S, IPv4/v6, etc.).
- Understand the cybersecurity threat landscape.
- Proficient in SQL.
- Hold a B.A/B.S in a related field.
Compensation & Culture: The base pay range for this position is $60,000 – $85,000, with potential for additional bonus/incentives, stock options, and comprehensive benefits.
