Job Details:
Carpenter Technology USA, a global leader in specialty alloys and advanced materials, is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst IV – Data Protection to lead enterprise-level data protection initiatives. This role focuses on strengthening data security measures, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CUI, and enhancing the company’s overall cybersecurity posture. The analyst will work closely with teams across IT, Legal, Manufacturing, and R&D to safeguard sensitive data, manage risk, and develop effective data protection strategies.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead data protection projects, assessments, and control implementations to ensure compliance and security.

Design and implement solutions such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), tokenization, encryption, and logical access controls.

Coordinate with Data Protection Advocates across business units to ensure policy adherence and security awareness.

Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT teams to maintain DLP infrastructure readiness.

Develop and update security policies, standard operating procedures, and compliance documentation.

Conduct risk assessments, audit reviews, and digital forensic investigations as needed.

Work with Legal and Compliance teams to interpret new regulations and strengthen security frameworks.

Promote data-centric security principles and support awareness campaigns and training programs.

Implement secure AI and machine learning solutions aligned with data protection standards.

Publish and analyze Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) metrics to guide decision-making.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Associate’s degree with certifications and experience also accepted).

Minimum 9 years of experience in data protection, access management, or security operations.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCIA, CEH, or Security+ preferred.

Strong understanding of GDPR, CUI, and other data protection regulations.

Advanced knowledge of NIST, ISO, CIS, COBIT, and OWASP frameworks.

Familiarity with AWS and Azure environments and secure cloud architecture.
