Cybersecurity Analyst Opportunity – Cincinnati, OH

Dedicated Tech Services (DTS), a certified WBE and WOSB, seeks a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst for a direct W2 hourly or salaried position in Cincinnati, OH (on-site).

The Role:

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will serve as a technical expert and liaison to law enforcement, prioritize cyber threats, assist partners with security policies, report intelligence, and support outreach efforts. You’ll analyze threats, develop security measures, and provide technical guidance on incident response and system security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical expert and liaison on cybersecurity matters.
  • Establish cyber threat priorities and assist partners with policy development.
  • Report cyber threats and intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze intrusion artifacts and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of security policies and procedures.
  • Explain incident details and provide security guidance to personnel.
  • Assist with security audits and risk assessments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cyber threats.
  • Support threat analysis, policy formulation, and resource application.
  • Develop intelligence and risk assessments for IT/OT systems.
  • Provide high-quality written assessments and briefings on cybersecurity issues.
  • Track, analyze, and report on regional cybersecurity data.
  • Support incident response operations during cyber events.
  • Assist in system and network security assessments.
  • Participate in outreach to public and private sector partners.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum one (1) year of specialized experience in recognizing and analyzing cybersecurity issues, risks, and vulnerabilities.
  • OR 12 months training/experience in Information Systems/IT with a focus in Software Engineering/Development, Data Analytics/Business Intelligence, Database Administration, Network, IT Security, Help Desk/Customer Support, or Cyber Threat Analysis.
  • OR Equivalent Master’s degree or two years of relevant graduate education.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least one (1) year of experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer science, systems analysis, data security practices, common adversary tactics, data backup, cryptology, incident response, network traffic analysis, and scripting.
  • Proficiency in operating personal computers and network analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and collaborate effectively.
