Overview
Tenet is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join its Corporate Cybersecurity team. This role focuses on delivering in-depth technical security services for critical applications and infrastructure, ensuring resilience against cybersecurity threats. You will support SIEM and SOAR technologies, assist in investigations, and help modernize Tenet’s cybersecurity strategy.
Responsibilities

Serve as SME and escalation point for SIEM platform issues

Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and service restoration

Assist in cybersecurity investigations, including after-hours incident response

Integrate SIEM with diverse data sources and commercial security tools

Develop correlation rules, tune SIEM to reduce false positives, and optimize deployments

Generate dashboards, metrics, and reports for leadership

Provide strategic input on data security, incident response, and emerging technologies

Collaborate with governance, IT, and engineering teams for data protection and analytics

Create documentation (reports, training, architecture diagrams)

Represent Tenet on internal/external risk and security groups
Qualifications
-
4+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in cybersecurity with SIEM design/implementation

BS in Computer Science or equivalent (experience may substitute)

Industry certifications (preferred): GIAC-GCED, GCDA, GDSA, GMON, or equivalent

Intermediate Linux knowledge (CLI, Python, PowerShell)

Understanding of cloud environments and log ingestion

Strong knowledge of SIEM platforms, MITRE ATT&CK, and security frameworks (CIS Top 20, NIST, etc.)

Experience with forensic investigations, risk management, and mitigation

Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration skills

Fluent in English
