Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage security systems that safeguard data, networks, and applications across the organization.

Continuously enhance security posture by identifying vulnerabilities, reducing attack surfaces, and implementing effective countermeasures.

Integrate robust cybersecurity and data governance practices into the software development life cycle.

Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and Engineering teams to ensure secure cloud-first architectures.

Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and coordinate timely remediation with technical stakeholders.

Respond to security alerts and incidents as part of the Security Incident Response Team.

Evaluate disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to improve operational resilience.

Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity trends, frameworks, and technologies to recommend improvements.

Contribute to ongoing risk assessments and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (equivalent experience accepted).

4+ years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering role with strong collaboration across software, cloud, and infrastructure teams.

Hands-on experience implementing layered security within cloud-first architectures integrated with SaaS and eCommerce platforms.

Strong technical background using tools such as Python, Snowflake, dbt, Kafka, Tableau, Git, Informatica, and JS/PHP frameworks.

Experience securing environments on AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean.

Familiarity with frameworks and controls such as NIST CSF, CIS CSC, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, and Cyber Defense Matrix.

Proficient in security tools such as EDR, SIEM, DLP, CASB, and IDS/IPS.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, able to convey technical details clearly.
Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CCSP, CASP+, CISSP, Security+, or CEH.

Experience with modern network architectures, cloud security, and remote workforce protection.

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, thriving under pressure in dynamic environments.
Compensation and Benefits

Target salary range: $95,000 – $125,000, based on experience.

Eligible for annual performance bonuses.
