 Key Responsibilities for a Data Analyst

Your Day-to-Day as a Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst, you will:

  • Collaborate with business reporting stakeholders to gather reporting and analysis requirements

  • Manage large datasets from Primavera P6, SAP SuccessFactors, and other key systems

  • Validate the accuracy and integrity of extracted data

  • Support data governance and security standards

  • Apply Murphy’s best practices for coding, documentation, and release processes

  • Work closely with project planners, operational teams, and technical staff

  • Assist with developing and implementing maintenance procedures

  • Provide training, support, and guidance for end-users

  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders

  • Support team members and remote users when needed

 Required Skills and Experience for a Data Analyst

To thrive in this Data Analyst role, you should have:

  • Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and Power BI

  • Experience with Visual Studio and Azure tools

  • Working understanding of ETL processes and API integrations

  • Familiarity with construction or civil engineering environments

  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills
