Position Overview
The DNC is seeking a Data Analyst to provide analytics support across multiple departments, including Fundraising and Distributed Organizing. In this role, you will use data to guide targeted outreach, create and maintain automated reports, and analyze program outcomes to improve performance over time. This is a high-impact position that combines technical expertise with stakeholder collaboration to deliver actionable, data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities

Targeting & Outreach: Manage targeting and outreach list development to maximize program impact.

Reporting: Build, maintain, and automate reporting dashboards; collaborate with engineering teams to optimize data workflows.

Program Analysis: Evaluate engagement trends, identify strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies for improvement.

Data Standards: Work with internal teams to establish consistent data entry and storage practices.

Automation & Efficiency: Create tools and processes that streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Ad Hoc Requests: Fulfill data requests quickly and accurately for various stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in SQL and working with large datasets.

Experience cleaning, organizing, and preparing data for analysis.

Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Familiarity with data visualization platforms (Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar).

Ability to design sustainable, documented workflows for long-term use.
Preferred Skills

Experience with dbt.

Knowledge of political datasets, such as voter files or election results.

Familiarity with voter engagement tools (VAN/Votebuilder, Scale to Win, Reach).

Understanding of predictive modeling best practices.

Background in political organizing or community outreach.
