Data Analyst Responsibilities
Ensure Accurate Healthcare Data Management
As a Data Analyst, you will oversee data intake and validation, making sure all client data requirements are clearly documented and approved. You’ll collaborate closely with healthcare data carriers and internal teams to ensure smooth data operations.

Manage and monitor data quality throughout the process.

Host and lead discussions with healthcare data carriers to confirm data requirements.

Document meeting notes and obtain approvals from clients and carriers.

Perform detailed data quality checks to verify consistency for claims, member, and eligibility databases.

Analyze and profile incoming client data to understand content and structure.

Map new data to existing databases according to internal standards.

Work with engineers to test and validate data loading processes.
Support Reliable Data Operations
A successful Data Analyst in this role will ensure data integrity, meet client requirements, and help build a secure, efficient data environment that supports business goals.
Qualifications You’ll Need
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

2–4 years of healthcare data analysis experience.

Strong SQL (SSMS) and database querying skills.

Experience working with healthcare or insurance data warehouse environments.

In-depth understanding of healthcare enrollment, medical claims, and drug claims data.

Bonus: Experience with non-traditional data types (wellness, productivity, EMR).
Skills & Competencies

Advanced data manipulation skills using databases and spreadsheets.

Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

What Cotiviti Offers

Base Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 annually (based on experience and skills).
