Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across clinical, operational, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will analyze healthcare data to improve patient outcomes, optimize resource utilization, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You’ll work closely with finance, IT, medical staff, and leadership to deliver actionable insights that enhance care delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze healthcare data from EHRs, claims, surveys, and other sources.
- Develop dashboards and reports to track patient outcomes, readmission rates, and cost efficiency.
- Identify data trends to support quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to translate data needs into actionable insights.
- Partner with finance and operations to present key data to stakeholders.
- Evaluate interventions and programs using statistical methods.
- Train staff on data capture and report generation when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with healthcare data and familiarity with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner preferred).
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology, workflows, and regulatory requirements (a plus).
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of healthcare standards: ICD-10, CPT, HL7, FHIR.
- Experience building KPIs and analyzing industry drivers.
- Advanced data analysis and reporting experience.
